we sold out twice this weekend. thank you.

we're writing this on monday with empty trays, sore feet, and the biggest dumb grins on our faces. this fourth of july weekend we set up at two markets — our saturday home at the richfield farmers market, and a surprise sunday pop-up at the linden hills farmers market — and you sold us out. both days. every last roll.

thank you. genuinely. here's how it went.

saturday · richfield, our home market

richfield on the fourth of july was everything we love about this market turned up to ten — flags everywhere, kids everywhere, the whole park in a good mood. we leaned in: tommy spent the morning frosting swole rolls at the booth in american-flag overalls under a big JULY banner, which we can only describe as extremely on brand for the day.

the trays didn't stand a chance. swole rolls, cinnie minnies, built brownies — gone before we were ready to say goodbye to them. to our richfield regulars who came back for round two (and three): you're the reason we keep loading the van every saturday.

sunday · the linden hills surprise

sunday we tried something new: a pop-up at the linden hills farmers market, announced basically nowhere. no build-up, no countdown — just us, a tent, and a fresh morning bake in a neighborhood that had never met us before.

and linden hills, you showed UP. there's a special kind of nervous setting up in front of a brand-new crowd, and it evaporated about ten minutes in. by early afternoon we were flipping trays upside down to prove they were empty. sold out, day two of two.

the reactions are the whole reason we do this

the sell-outs are great for the vans and the spreadsheets, but the reactions are what we drove home talking about.

there's a specific face people make when they hear the words "protein cinnamon roll" — one eyebrow up, deeply suspicious — and then a completely different face about four seconds after the first bite. we got to watch that little movie play over and over, all weekend, in two different parks. kids dragging parents back to the tent. lifters doing math out loud. grandparents who could not care less about the macros and just wanted a second cinnamon roll — which, honestly, is also the correct way to enjoy them.

to everyone who tried something on a stranger's recommendation, took a card, tagged us, or just said something kind over the table: we notice every single one. it does not get old.

if we sold out before you got there — we're sorry, here's the fix

selling out is a good problem, but it's still a problem if you walked over for a swole roll and met an empty tray. two ways to never let that happen again:

1. pre-order. everything we bring to the markets is also on the menu — order by thursday and it's yours for sunday, guaranteed, no racing the crowd. the full bakery lineup lives there too.

2. get the heads-up. our events page has the schedule and a where-we-are alert signup — that's also where any future surprise pop-ups (linden hills, we may be back) will show first.

thank you, richfield. thank you, linden hills. same energy next weekend — we'll bring more trays.
