GLP-1 users in minneapolis: a tandoco eating guide
i talk to GLP-1 customers every week. the pattern is the same: appetite drops to maybe 30% of pre-medication, and now it's a fight to eat enough protein to keep muscle on. you cannot solve this with a regular meal-prep plan. it's a different problem.
the math
target: 0.7g protein per pound of bodyweight per day, minimum, while losing fat on a GLP-1. for a 180-lb person, that's 126g protein.
appetite-suppressed reality: maybe 1,400 calories will go down comfortably. that means almost every calorie has to do double duty. we wrote a longer guide on the GLP-1 page, but the short version is: protein density is everything.
what to actually eat
breakfast: 8oz greek yogurt + a tandoco bananabolic bread slice. 32g protein. takes 5 minutes to eat.
lunch: a tandoco entrée from the menu. 35-50g protein, 400-550 cal. small portion, dense protein.
snack: a brown butter cookie or a fudge brownie from the bakery. 18-22g protein. helps with cravings, not punishment.
dinner: lean protein + vegetables. 35g protein, 350 cal. easy to under-eat — set a reminder.
why tandoco specifically
pickup is one drive in minneapolis. you order through the store by thursday, pick up sunday 12–5pm. customers from edina, saint paul, and eden prairie all do it as one sunday errand.
the appeal for GLP-1 users isn't that we're a magic solution. it's that the macros are honest, the portion sizes are right-sized, and you don't have to cook on days when you don't feel like eating at all.
