minneapolis high-protein restaurants worth your sunday.

customers ask me where else to eat in minneapolis when they're not picking up tandoco. this is my honest list, with notes on which dishes actually clear the protein-density bar.

the criteria

at least one entrée that hits 35g+ protein for under 700 calories. real food, not a "diet menu." owned and operated in minneapolis or the close-in suburbs. and good — vibes matter.

the list

1. red cow (multiple locations). the grass-fed burger, lettuce-wrapped, with an egg on top. ~45g protein, ~580 cal. the move is asking for double protein on the side instead of fries.

2. french meadow bakery (lyndale). the steel-cut oat bowl with extra eggs and turkey sausage. quiet protein density, big portion.

3. the lynhall (28th + bryant). the salmon plate is consistently 35g+ protein and they don't drown it in butter.

4. blackbird (1nicollet). their breakfast platter with no toast clears 50g protein for under 600 cal.

5. world street kitchen (uptown). the bowls — sub the rice for double meat. trust me.

6. cafe alma (NE). their fish dishes are protein-dense and beautifully cooked.

7. broders' pasta bar (50th + Penn). not protein-first, but the bolognese with extra sausage hits.

8. pajarito (st. paul). the carnitas plate, no rice, double meat.

9. parka (kingfield). their breakfast sandwich on the egg-white wrap. ~30g protein.

10. tandoco. obviously. order from the store by thursday for sunday pickup. add a brown butter cookie while you're at it.

if you're in a suburb

customers from edina, st. louis park, saint paul, and eden prairie tell me they cycle through these places monthly. the tandoco kitchen is a 10-25 minute drive from any of them — easy to fold a sunday pickup into a brunch loop.

tell me what i missed in the list. hello@tandoco.com — i'll add it to the next revision with credit.
