on ozempic in minneapolis. a local eating guide.

more minneapolis patients are starting ozempic, wegovy, mounjaro, and zepbound every month. the local healthcare side is well-covered — there are at least six twin cities GLP-1 telehealth clinics and most of the major endocrinology practices prescribe now. the food side is still wide open. that's where we come in.

the minneapolis GLP-1 landscape

if you're on a GLP-1 in the twin cities, your options for actual food are limited:

national meal prep delivery — factor, trifecta, etc. ships frozen, generic portions, no GLP-1 focus. fine in a pinch, not optimized for you. • cook for yourself — works until the appetite suppression makes cooking feel impossible, which is week 2 for most people. • fast casual — chipotle bowls and the occasional sweetgreen are OK, but the portions are wrong for suppressed appetite and the protein density is medium at best. • tandoco — local kitchen in minneapolis, weekly menu sized for high-protein customers, sunday pickup at the downtown spot.

the last one is what we built. we have a full page on what tandoco looks like on a GLP-1, but the short version is: real food, right-sized portions, weighed macros, no shipping.

what tandoco can and can't do for you

can: hit 35-50g of protein per meal in portions sized for a suppressed appetite. publish honest macros (every meal on the store shows protein, calories, carbs, fat, fiber on the card). bake a protein cookie or banana bread for the snack slot. give you one less decision on bad days.

can't: replace your prescriber. tell you whether to titrate up. predict how a specific dose will affect your appetite. those are conversations for your medical team, not a food brand.

what i can do is what a kitchen does — feed you well during a hard transition, and tell you honestly what i'd do in your shoes.

how to start

1. order through the store by thursday 11:59pm for sunday pickup.

2. start with 4-6 entrées for your first week. that's enough variety to find what your appetite tolerates without committing to a full week before you know what works.

3. add a brown butter cookie six-pack for the snack slot. customers tell me this is the single most-loved thing on the menu for GLP-1 weeks.

4. pickup is at the downtown minneapolis kitchen. customers from edina, saint paul, st. louis park, eden prairie, bloomington, and richfield all do it as one sunday errand.
